Mohammad started with his PhD in September 2023. I am his primary supervisor and panel chair. His associate supervisors are Dr. Patrik Haslum (also at the ANU) and Dr. Ron Alford (working at MITRE).
In his research he is concerned with solving FOND HTN planning problems, i.e., Hierarchical Task Network Planning under uncertainty, more specifically where action effects are non-deterministic. In a very nutshell, he is going to devise algorithms and heuristics necessary to solve FOND HTN planning problems as described in the ICAPS'21 and ICAPS'22 papers by Dillon Chen and me (Pascal Bercher). On top of this, he is also interested in modeling support, which is concerned with developing technologies (most notably tools) that assist a user in creating their necessary models.
