Conny pursued her Dr. rer. nat. at Ulm University (UUlm), Germany. She was supervised by Prof. Biundo (my former supervisor) and co-supervised by me. She started in January 2019 and handed in her thesis in November 2023. The defense will take place April 2024.
Her research focuses on the impact that compound HTN planning tasks have on states. This is primarily done in the context of totally ordered HTN planning. She investigates the computational complexity of these problems, computes those preconditions and effects in practice, and finally exploits them in a progression search planner. With this planner, she has won all three tracks (agile, satisficing, and optimal) at the International Planning Competition 2023.
