Here I list media coverage in which I or my research group feature, ordered chronologically, most recent first. (So far it's all positive -- let's keep it that way. :D)
Beyond the Algorithm: How One ANU Student Is Helping AI Think More Freely (ANU School of Computing, July 2026)
A profile of Harrison Oates, an undergraduate student I supervise(d) across several research projects including his Honours thesis (half-way through while the article came out). The article traces his path from taking my Foundations of Computing course to publishing his own research at ICAPS 2026.
AI systems expertise celebrated at major international conference (ANU College of Systems and Society, June 2026)
Coverage of the ANU's successes at ICAPS 2026 in Dublin, several of which involve my group: the Best Student Paper Award for a paper led by my PhD student Pascal Lauer, co-authored by my PhD student Yifan Zhang (together with A/Prof. Patrik Haslum and me); the Best Dissertation Award Honorable Mention for my former PhD student Dr. Songtuan Lin; and my selection as one of the three keynote speakers. (See also my PhD awards page.)
From Melbourne to Dublin: An Outsized Role in the World of AI Planning (ANU School of Computing, May 2026)
A feature on the ANU's AI planning group -- one of the largest in the world -- around ICAPS 2025 in Melbourne. It includes a section on early-career support covering my invited talk at the Launchpad workshop for aspiring PhD students, my take on mentoring (which regular visitors of this website will already know is my biggest passion), and thoughts from my PhD student Pascal Lauer on what it's like to work with me: "he's really quite encouraging." :)
